DARLINGTON’S match against Stamford tomorrow has been moved to Spennymoor Town’s ground as the Heritage Park pitch remains waterlogged.

Tuesday’s match with Skelmersdale was moved to the Brewery Field in order to enable Quakers to fulfil the fixture.

Bishop Auckland’s ground has this morning been deemed unplayable after being inspected by a referee.

It is the ninth time this season Quakers have been unable to play at the venue, but fortunately Spennymoor’s have again allowed the club to play tomorrow’s game with Stamford at their home.

Spennymoor will again not be charging Darlington for using the Brewery Field. Moors general manager Steve Lawson said: “As with last Tuesday’s game, no fee is to be charged to Darlington for usage or facilities.”

A statement by Quakers read: “Darlington Football Club would again like to thank Spennymoor chairman Brad Groves and the staff of Spennymoor for their help in allowing us to stage the game there.

“Please note that unfortunately in the circumstances season ticket holders cannot be guaranteed a seat, and therefore our recommendation is that you arrive at the ground early.

“Spennymoor season ticket holders will have free entry to the game, on production of their Spennymoor season ticket.”

Tuesday’s 3-0 win saw Darlington move to the top of the table, and they hope to make another step closer to promotion tomorrow.

On Tuesday Quakers are due to face Grantham at Heritage Park.
