Alan White and Adam Mitchell are to serve further suspensions as a consequence of their conduct after being sent off in Darlington’s defeat at Salford City in January.

Both players have already served bans after seeing red in the game, but referee Barry Cropp reported the pair for using abusive/insulting language toward match officials after being dismissed in the second half of the fixture.

At a hearing in Leeds on Thursday, which neither player decided to attend, both were deemed to have been found guilty of breaches of FA rule E3.

They will each miss Monday’s game at New Mills, while White will also sit out the trip to Warrington next weekend.

Mitchell scored a hat-trick in Quakers’ 4-2 win over Prescot Cables on Saturday, while the match marked a return to the side for White having missed the previous two fixtures due to suspension.
