DARLINGTON supporters are being given the opportunity to choose their preferred home kit for the 2015-16 season and the poll is open now.

A choice of three kits have been revealed, and the club says each design commemorates Quakers returning to Darlington next season.

Supporters also chose the current home kit, and a statement read: “As a 100 per cent fan owned club, the directors are keen to ensure that fan engagement is maximised wherever possible – and what better place to start than for the fans to decide the kit they wish their team to wear for the exciting season that lies ahead.”

Voting forms will also be available at Quaker Retail from today (open 10am-1pm). The poll closes at 5pm on Friday, February 13.

The kits will be made by Avec Sport and Darlington have announced a two-year deal with the company to remain as kit supplier, with an option to extend that arrangement for a third year.

Martin Jesper, Quakers’ chief executive officer, said: “Implementing stability is a key factor in rebuilding the club on solid financial and commercial foundations and we are delighted that this agreement will continue with that philosophy.

“We have considered a number of alternative offerings from various kit suppliers over the last few months and we are satisfied that Avec’s terms are in the best interest of the club moving forward.

“Not only are the quality of the products and customer service at a high standard, but the working relationship we have established with Avec management is extremely effective and professional – an essential component of any partnership.”

Helen Inness, national sales manager for Avec Sport, added: “We are thrilled to extend our relationship with Darlington FC at this very exciting time for the Club. Avec will continue to bring its own unique brand and ideas to the partnership both on and off the field.”
