DARLINGTON must find a free date in their schedule to play Celtic Nation after last night’s game became Quakers’ latest to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

A decision was made by early afternoon as large sections of the Heritage Park playing surface were under water, and it means Darlington still have ten games to play.

The fixture was one of eight postponed in the Ebac Northern League last night, with only two games taking place.

Darlington’s next game is at Bedlington Terriers on Saturday, while they next play at Heritage Park on Saturday, Mach 30 against Sunderland RCA, who the only team Quakers have yet to play this season.

Meanwhile, Darlington are inviting teams to take part in a golf day on Thursday, May 23 at Rockliffe Hall, Hurworth- on-Tees.

The day will include a breakfast roll on arrival, dinner and prize giving. Entry costs £350 for a 4-ball team, while single players are welcome at £90 each.
