MIDDLESBROUGH have delivered a nod to one of the most famous seasons in their history after releasing the first images of their new kits.
The club’s 2018-19 kit marks a return to sportswear manufacturers Hummel, and the home shirt has been designed as a tribute to the 1986-87 campaign, when Boro fought back from the brink of extinction to win promotion to the Second Division.
The new kits will go on sale to season-card holders from 8am tomorrow morning, with a general sale starting at 9am on Saturday.
Tomorrow will also see the opening of a new-look club store at the Riverside, and the club’s head of retail, Jo Swinnerton, said: “The new store has a real contemporary feel and the design reflects the fabric of the stadium and the surrounding area.”
