DANIEL Kindberg, the chairman of Swedish Europa League side Osterstunds, is in talks on Thursday to try and save Hartlepool United.

Ahead of his side’s game at Arsenal, Kindberg is joining a meeting of potential investors in a central London hotel.

John Blackledge, the club's benefactor who opted to stop funding the club in November and is seeking a way out

, is expected to attend at the Landmark Hotel.

Kindberg has been linked with a move with Pools for a number of weeks now, but it is understood any deal is some way off and he has been approached to be part of a group who are keen to take over the troubled National League club.

However, he is using his time in England before the second leg Europa League tie at the Emirates Stadium to discover the extent of interest in trying to save financially-stricken Pools.

It is understood a Swedish agent has been spent the last few weeks hoping to form a consortium, which is how Kindberg was approached – and Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been mentioned as a possible investor.
