THE latest BBC Price of Football study has been published, featuring data for the 2017-18 season.

Here are a selection of the findings.

- More than 80 per cent of ticket prices have either been reduced or frozen for the current Premier League season.

- Average season ticket prices across the Premier League are at their lowest levels since 2013, having fallen for the second consecutive year.

- While the average for cheapest season tickets in the Premier League is down by 1.85 per cent from last season (to £464 from £472.75), for cheapest adult home matchday tickets it has increased by 0.86 per cent (£29.05 to £29.30).

- The league's cheapest season ticket is offered by Huddersfield at £100, while the most expensive is at Arsenal, costing £1,768.50.

- In terms of cheapest adult home matchday tickets, the lowest price in the division is Liverpool's at £9 and the highest is Chelsea's at £47.

- The average cost of a single home matchday ticket to watch football in the Championship has fallen for this season.

- Average season ticket and single matchday ticket prices in League One have been cut, while the cost of watching football in League Two has risen more than in any other English league this term.

- The National League has seen the fewest number of ticket price increases across the English leagues for this season.

- Cheapest and most expensive season ticket prices are, on average, up in every league in Scottish football, except the Championship, where both have fallen.

- Replica shirt prices continue to rise in the Premier League this season, with the average adult shirt now costing more than £50 for the first time, while the average cost of a junior shirt has topped £40. Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham all price adult shirts at £60.

- The most expensive adult shirt in the Championship is Aston Villa's, which costs £55. The cheapest adult shirt is offered by Burton for £39.99.

- More than half of clubs in the Premier League increased the cost of their pies. Only West Ham reduced the price. The average price for a pie is £3.65 - up 4.58 per cent since last season.

- In League Two, Coventry charge the most for a pie - £4. The cheapest pie is available at Carlisle for £2.

- The most expensive pie in Scotland is at Aberdeen in the Premiership - £2.70.

- The average cost of a cup of tea is more in the Championship than in the Premier League - by three pence. QPR offer the most expensive tea in British football at £3.20.

- You can pay as little as 15 euros (£13) to watch Bayern Munich, 12.50 euros (£11) for Ajax or 10 euros (£8.95) at Paris St Germain.
