DWIGHT GAYLE returns to Newcastle United's starting line-up for this afternoon's Premier League home game with Bournemouth.
Gayle replaces Ayoze Perez from the side that started Monday's 1-0 defeat at Burnley, and will make his first league start since August's loss at Huddersfield.
With Joselu retaining his place in the side, that could mean Newcastle switching to a 4-4-2 formation.
The other change in personnel comes at the heart of midfield, with Isaac Hayden coming into the side to replace Mo Diame, who drops down to the bench.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has made five changes to the side that lost to Chelsea last weekend, with former Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe only named on the bench.
NEWCASTLE (4-4-2): Elliot; Yedlin, Lascelles, Lejeune, Manquillo; Ritchie, Hayden, Shelvey, Atsu; Gayle, Joselu.
Subs: Darlow (gk), Clark, Gamez, Diame, Murphy, Perez, Mitrovic.
BOURNEMOUTH (4-4-2): Begovic; Ake, Francis, Cook, Daniels; Arter, Surman, Pugh, Ibe; Wilson, King.
Subs: Boruc (gk), Gosling, Smith, Cook, Fraser, Mousset, Defoe.
