Spennymoor return to the bread and butter of the EvoStik League when Kendal visit the Brewery Field tonight.

Moors currently sit in ninth place in the table, with games in hand on everyone else above them in the table.

Manager Jason Ainsley said; “This is our bread and butter now. We’ve had some good runs in the FA Cup and the FA Trophy, but now’s our chance to make progress in the league before we start the cups again in the New Year.”

After tonight’s game, Moors face Ossett Albion, Harrogate RA, Ossett Town and Scarborough before they play Sunderland RCA in the Durham Challenge Cup on January 6th. They are currently seven points below the last play off placem currently occupied by Scarborough.

“We’re just over a third of the way through our league games, and we’ve got quit a few teams around about is to play yet. We can still push our way into the play off places.”

Ainsley might make some changes tonight, because he was unhappy with the way that his team went 4-0 down at Hyde on Saturday before launching a late revival.

“People who weren’t in the starting eleven on Saturday are knocking on the door for a starting place.”

Apart from the injured Liam Henderson, Ainsley will choose from a full squad.
