Spennymoor have another cup competition on their minds on Saturday when they face Bamber Bridge in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

Moors’ FA Cup interests ended in a gallant 3-0 defeat at Telford in midweek, and now they’re aiming for another good run in the Trophy over the next two months.

Manager Jason Ainsley said; “We’ve got to dust ourselves down from the FA Cup defeat and get on with it.

“The Trophy is another competition in which we want to do well, and it would be great to play teams like Telford again and go to grounds like theirs again.

“I want the players to react in a positive way to the defeat in midweek, and make the Brewery Field a fortress again.”

Defender Kallum Griffiths is struggling with a groin strain, but striker Nathan Fisher is added to the squad.

Brig, whom Moors have yet to face in the league, reached this stage by thumping Lancaster City 5-1 in their midweek replay.
