ANDY Collett has left his role as Hartlepool United goalkeeping coach and moved to York City.

The former Darlington shot-stopper replaced Gary Walsh at Victoria Park 18 months ago.

But, after talks with the club, he has joined Nigel Worthington's backroom team at Bootham Crescent.

His role at Victoria Park will be taken by Jim Provett, the ex-Pools keeper who has also been working for the club's football in the community and has been running his own goalkeeping school.

Collett said: "I've really enjoyed my time at Pools. It's been a real satisfaction to see the development of the club's goalkeepers while I've been working with them. We leave on good terms and I wish them all the best next season."

Collett could be followed to the Minstermen by Evan Horwood, the left back was freed by Pools at the end of last season and has been offered a contract by Worthington. Tranmere and Aberdeen are also keen.
