Yorkshire on the backfoot

Yorkshire lost five wickets during the afternoon session on day three to hand Warwickshire control of their LV County Championship match at Edgbaston.

By tea, the Tykes had reached 177 for five in their second innings, a lead of only 140 runs.

Chris Wright was the man who did most of the damage for the Bears, removing Joe Sayers (42) and Adam Lyth (0) in the first over after lunch.

Then, after Chris Metters had ousted Joe Root (49) and Jonny Bairstow (21), he returned to dismiss Anthony McGrath for 57.

At the interval Gary Ballance was unbeaten on 15, with Adil Rashid on six.
