In the Readers Durham County League Kimblesworth, the leaders, won their top-of-the-table battle with Willington although the margin was astonishing.

They beat them by ten wickets after Paul Craig (70 not out) and Stephen Meek (60 not out) made their winning target of 139 look chicken-feed.

Meek (4-40) was also his side’s outstanding bowler.

Second-placed Shildon featured in a tied finish against Esh Winning, another of the top sides.

Esh were bowled out for 164 with four cheap wickets for Rob Nevison, but they hit back to take the last wicket of the day, a run out, on the last ball of the day, also on 164.

Brandon are still seeking their first win after being bowled out for just 81 runs by Ushaw Moor, while Etherley moved a couple of places up the table after defeating Mainsforth.
