Felling skipper inspires team to victory
In the Warmseal Durham Senior
League, only two of the six
games ended with victories.
Felling, who beat Marsden by
75 runs, and Eppleton who triumphed
over Durham City by
just six runs, were happy to see
champions Burnmoor held by
Philadelphia.
The Moor even declared their
innings at 200-3 against Phili
with John Tindale (70) the top
man but Neil Mulvaney (47) defied
the Burnmoor bowlers for
his side to finish on 138-6.
Felling's skipper, Chris Pleasants
(8-26) inspired his team to
their win while a half century
from Carl Watson and a vital five
wickets from David Lowther saw
Eppleton achieve their nail-biting
success.
