Matt Henry has claimed his best first-class match career figures to put Kent in complete control of their Specsavers County Championship Division Two match against Durham at Emirates Riverside on the morning of day two.
The home side began the day 13-1 after the loss of Aiden Markram the previous evening. Henry made immediate inroads to dismiss Will Smith in his first over. He then claimed the scalp of Gareth Harte before Darren Stevens struck twice in one over to remove Graham Clark and Paul Collingwood.
Henry notched his second five-wicket haul in the contest to leave Durham 39-7. However, an innings of 36 from Matthew Potts saved the north east outfit from posting their lowest first-class score.
The hosts have forced Kent to bat again, with James Weighell and Nathan Rimmington edging the lead to 30 at the end of the session.
