PAUL COLLINGWOOD has assembled two star-studded line-ups, to be managed by Kevin Keegan and Peter Reid, for his Newcastle v Sunderland testimonial match at Emirates Riverside on Sunday.

While Collingwood will play for his beloved Sunderland, the opposition will include three of the team he led to World Twenty20 Championship glory in 2010.

Hopes that Kevin Pietersen would be available have not materialised, but Graeme Swann, Tim Bresnan and Ryan Sidebottom will turn out. Swann is a big Magpies fan through family connections as his father, Ray, used to play cricket for Northumberland.

Steve Harmison will also dust off his whites to play for Newcastle, although he is now a little less fit then when he trained with them during his England days.

Keegan, who has been known to make charity appearances for the Lord's Taverners, will have plenty of bowling firepower at his disposal but might have to rely for runs on Phil Mustard and Jack Burnham.

Also in the team is former Love Island winner Max Morley, a left-arm spinner who played for Durham seconds. Whether he will be bringing any of his famous girlfriends has not been revealed.

Reid, who led Sunderland to two seventh-place finishes in the Premier League during his 1995-2002 tenure, will have a strong contingent of Black Cats fans in Collingwood and his brother, Peter, plus Wearsiders Scott Borthwick, Paul Coughlin and Chris Rushworth.

The availability of Yorkshire players sees Australian T20 star Shaun Marsh appear in the Sunderland line-up, along with Teessider Liam Plunkett. Keaton Jennings, whose mother was born in Sunderland, is also in the team.

With both teams appearing in the football clubs' colours for the 2.30 start, Keegan, now 66, will again don the black and white stripes after finishing his playing career with Newcastle.

He twice managed the club, although the second stint, under Mike Ashley, lasted only eight months in 2008.

Some of the proceeds will go towards the Graham Wylie Foundation, which works to improve the lives of vulnerable children.

Tickets cost £10 in advance, £15 at the gate and £5 for children, while hospitality packages are available at £50 and £75, to include a barbecue, private bar and after-match party. Enquiries to the box office on 0191 3871717.
