ENGLAND’S one-day international with Australia at Emirates Riverside is a sell-out.

Remaining tickets for the fixture have been bought for the game on Thursday, June 21, a second successive international sell-out at Emirates Riverside after the West Indies IT20 fixture in September last year.

With hospitality places also sold out, every seat in the ground will be filled as England, the world’s number one ranked side in the 50-over format, take on the Aussies.

“We are gearing up for another huge event at Emirates Riverside and thrilled that the appetite for international cricket remains strong in the North East,” said David Harker, Durham CCC chief executive.

“It’s a huge game between two of the world’s biggest sides & we are again looking forward to showcasing the venue to the spectators & also on television around the world.”

England have named a 14-man squad for the series, with Durham’s Ben Stokes and Mark Wood both included.

SQUAD: EJG Morgan (Captain), MM Ali, JM Bairstow, JC Buttler (wkt), TK Curran, AD Hales, LE Plunkett, AU Rashid, JE Root, JJ Roy, BA Stokes, DJ Willey, CR Woakes, MA Wood

Thanks to our friends at Yorkshire Tea, The Northern Echo will have tickets for the game to win in the coming weeks.
