DURHAM smashed their one-day batting records, courtesy of an astonishing 164 by Ben Stokes, in today’s Royal London Cup semi-final at home to Nottinghamshire.
Their total of 353 for eight was 21 more than they had scored before in a one-day match and Stokes broke his own record for the highest individual score, the 150 not out he made at Edgbaston in 2011.
Durham’s previous best total, 332 for four, was made at home to Worcestershire on their way to winning the Friends Provident Trophy in 2007.
