GOLF: Graeme Storm has plenty of work to do if he is to make the cut in Switzerland today at the Omega European Masters.
The Rockliffe Hall Tour pro, from Hartlepool, was making his return to action after a wrist problem and he has not found things easy at Crans-sur-Sierre in Crans Montana.
Storm posted a two-over 72 that leaves him down in 94th going into day two and that is eight shots adrift of leaders Miguel Angel Jimenez, Tyrrell Hatton and Scott Hend.
He looked to have steadied himself after opening with three bogeys by making birdie at five, seven and eight. He then bogeyed 14 and 16 to fall back down the leaderboard.
Hexham’s Chris Paisley has struggled even more. He finished on six-over with his 76, while York’s Simon Dyson is a shot further back.
