GRAEME STORM had to settle for a top 50 finish in Andalucia after four rounds of high scoring golf across the field.
Storm finished tied 42nd in the Real Club Valderrama Open de Espana despite posting a four round total of 15 over par.
The 38-year-old closed with a five over 76 which included a double bogey at the 17th and six other bogeys; he also eagled the 11th.
But Storm, finishing 14 shots adrift of eventual winner Andrew Johnston who himself failed to break par, was not the only one who struggled in tough conditions on a tricky course over the week at San Roque.
None of the other North-East golfers in action in Valderrama - Rob Dinwiddie, Chris Paisley, John Parry and Kenneth Ferrie – made the cut.
