GRAEME STORM earned his first top 20 finish of the year by ending a solid week in Dubai in confident fashion.

Storm posted back-to-back 69s over the weekend to end up with a 12 under total of 276 to claim just under €30,000 in the Dubai Desert Classic.

He ended seven shots adrift of eventual winner Danny Willett, while Rory McIlroy finish on 15 under.

Storm, from Hartlepool, bogeyed the sixth for the third day in a row but otherwise he was in no mood to let his good placing disappear at the Emirates Club. He birdied the third, ninth, tenth and 13th.

Simon Dyson, from York, was not so good on the Sunday. He carded a final round 79 to drop down to ten over par having looked in good shape after making the weekend play.
