Graeme Storm has some work to do to make the cut at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
The Hartlepool pro had a nightmare finish when he dropped three shots in his last three holes courtesy of a bogey-double bogey at the 16th and 17th.
That meant Storm finished the day with a two over par 74 to drop down to 102nd in the leaderboard.
Stocksfield’s Chris Paisley and Barnard Castle’s Rob Dinwiddie are a shot better off so face their own fights to make the weekend in the second round.
But York’s Simon Dyson is nicely placed after shooting a 69, which is five shots off the leader, an amateur, Bryson Dechambeau from the USA.
