GRAEME STORM has lifted himself into contention at the BMW South African Open going into the weekend’s play.

The Hartlepool pro carded a two-under 70 to climb into the top 20 in Johannesburg before bad weather suspended play, with the rest of the second round due to restart at 630am.

But Storm got his round completed, which included three birdies and a bogey. He is six shots adrift of current leader Keith Horne of South Africa.

York’s Simon Dyson still has nine holes to play in his second round and has work to do after going one over through nine, leaving him four over in total.

Harrogate’s John Parry is heading home early, however, after shooting a second round level par 72 to leave him seven over after his disappointing opening 18 holes.
