BEDALE’S Dan Brown has been named in the England team for the Home Internationals at Royal Portrush for the first time.

Brown, a Yorkshire player who won the recent Dutch Junior Open, will make his international bow as part of the side which heads to County Antrim, Ireland, on August 12-14.

He will be joined by new English champion, Joe Dean, and the runner-up, Alfie Plant. It will be the first time Dean, from Yorkshire, and Plant, from Kent, have represented England at this level and they will be joined in the team by another new cap, Jamie Bower.
