Storm blows strong

10:16am Saturday 5th July 2008

GRAEME STORM bounced back in style at the European Open by carding a six-under par second round score that helped dull the pain of Thursday's disaster.

After Storm's 76, four over, first round, he was always facing an uphill struggle to make the cut at the London Golf Club. And, after a bogey at the first yesterday, the signs were not good.

However, from that moment on, the Hartlepool golfer found his form and made seven birdies to secure his weekend place in Kent.

Storm is tied 33rd on two under and he will be confident of making inroads towards the leading pack, where Ross Fisher is a shot clear on 13 under.

Yorkshireman Simon Dyson is also on two under for the tournament, while Barnard Castle's Rob Dinwiddie missed the cut with back-to-back 73s.
