STUART HALL will challenge Lee Haskins for the IBF World Bantamweight title at The O2 in London on Saturday, September 10.

The Darlington fighter, who was crowned world champion when he beat Vusi Malinga in December 2013, will be taking part in his fifth world title fight, and will compete on the undercard of the blockbuster World Middleweight contest between Gennady Golovkin and Kell Brook

Hall retained his IBF crown when he drew with Martin Ward, but has subsequently suffered defeats to Paul Butler and Randy Caballero.

His fight with Haskins represents a hotly-anticipated rematch between two bitter rivals who first met in 2012, when Haskins won to claim the European title.

Haskins is the reigning IBF champion, and will be defending his title for a second time, having landed the belt in spectacular fashion with a sixth round knock-out of Ryosuke Iwasa in June 2015. His first defence saw him widely outpoint Ivan Morales in May.

“September 10 has just become even bigger with this domestic World title grudge match added to the card,” said promoter Eddie Hearn. “It's a real 50-50 clash and with the domestic 118lbs scene really hotting up, it's a must win for both fighters.”

Haskins and Hall’s grudge match is the third World title clash on a huge night of boxing in Greenwich, with former Team GB star Charlie Edwards challenging Johnriel Casimero for the IBF World Flyweight title.
