SUNDERLAND’S Stadium of Light will open its doors to North-East boxing fans, as it hosts the fourth edition of the Summer Rumble.

Sunderland’s Jonson McClumpha will fight Horden’s Greg O’Neil for the Northern Area Middleweight title with McClumpha returning for the second year in a row after his incredible draw with Andrew Buchanan last year.

The night’s feature fight will see Sunderland’s Lee Mould fight Newcastle’s Gary Fox for the Northern Area Light Welterweight title, while there will be a return from injury of Sunderland’s Glenn Foot, the Prize Fighter champion.

Also in action will be two-time Olympian Thomas Essomba, Commonwealth gold medalist Simon Valilly, former amateur champion Daniel Cope, unbeaten pro Anthony Hardy, Tom Whitfield, Bazi Razak and Lynden Watt.

The event is being promoted by Phil Jeffries, father of Olympic boxing medalist Tony Jeffries, and Steve Wraith, of Wraith Promotions.
