DURHAM CITY'S former Northern and North-East cross country champion Dan Garbutt won the senior men's 1500m title at the North of England Track and Field Championships at Sportcity, Manchester, in a time of 3 mins 53.91 secs.
Gateshead Harrier Christian Carson won the gold medal in the senior 100m in a time of 10.49 secs, just outside his personbal best, beating runner-upBen Stephenson of Mandale (10.51 secs).
Another Gateshead Harrier, Miles McGrady won the under-20 110m hurdles in a new personbal-best 14.92 secs, whileMandale's Matthew Bailey took the silver medal in the junior men's 1500m in a time of 4 mins 4.24 secs.
