Darlington 2 - 0 Barnet

MANAGERLESS Darlington claimed their first win in eight games with a less than convincing 2-0 win over struggling Barnet.

Substitute Simon Johnson and an own goal from Joe Devera sealed victory for Quakers in a two-minute spell in the second half, in front of the lowest crowd of the season - 3,268.

After a woeful first half, in which both sides struggled to create chances, the game sprang to life following Johnson's 67th minute introduction.

Martin Smith found space in the box, before squaring for Johnson, who stroked the ball home from eight yards in the 75th minute.

And just two minutes later, Neil Wainwright's cross from the right was inadvertently turned past Bees keeper Ross Flitney by Devera.
