Collingwood hits century as England take control

DURHAM'S Paul Collingwood became England's second centurion of the match and Bangladesh lost three first-innings wickets as the tourists moved into a dominant position on day two of the first Test.

England declared on 599 for six after Collingwood (145) registered a 10th Test hundred, following in the footsteps of captain Alastair Cook who fell for a career-best 173 this morning.

That gave Stuart Broad the chance to start dismantling the top order and he obliged with the wickets of Imrul Kayes and Junaid Siddique before Tamim Iqbal (61 not out) steered the Tigers to 103 for three after 21 overs.

By close of play, Bangladesh had slumped to 154-5, after spinner Graeme Swann took three wickets.
