Darlington make five changes

New signing Stuart Giddings is one of five changes to the Darlington line-up for today's home game with Burton Albion.

For Quakers' first ever meeting with the former non-league side, manager Steve Staunton has handed a debut to left-back Giddings and first starts for striker Mor Diop and winger Nathan Mulligan.

Mulligan will be watched by Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole, who is a former Middlesbrough youth team-mate, who is at The Northern Echo Arena.

Also in the line-up is Ian Miller, who has missed two games with concussion, and Curtis Main but there is no place for striker James Collins who has been on loan from Aston Villa.

Giddings replaces Moses Barnett who has returned to Everton following the end of his one-month loan.

Quakers have named only six substitutes, despite having enough fit players to name seven on the bench.

Paul Arnison, Matty Plummer, Mark Convery and Jeff Smith, all of whom were in the squad last week at Barnet, find themselves frozen out of Staunton's plans.

Today's line-up features seven changes to the side which beat Shrewsbury four weeks ago which remains Darlington's sole league win this season.

On the bench for Burton is winger Keith Gilroy who made two appearances for Quakers during a brief stay at the end of the 2004-05 season.
