NEW recruit Jon Andre Fredriksen will make his Hartlepool United debut tomorrow after completing his move from Sarpsborg.

The Norwegian midfielder will join up with his new team-mates in Holland ahead of the game with Cambuur.

Pools lost 3-2 to FC Volendam last night, trailing 3-0 before goals by Antony Sweeney and Michael Mackay reduced the gap. Pools were two down after just 12 minutes and twice later hit the woodwork through Ritchie Jones and Neil Austin.

They also handed a trial to left back Thomas Ulvestad Vacas, who plays for Aasane.

He could tomorrow link up on the left flank with Fredriksen, who admitted: “I don’t know much about Hartlepool. But it is a dream for me to get the chance to play in England.

“I have one goal. I want to get to know the lads and work hard to be a part of the club, and hopefully earn myself a place in the team. This is a big step for me and I am very excited.’’
