The on-going problems at Newcastle United continue, with speculation that former manager Kevin Keegan is to sue to the club for unfair dismissal.
Keegan, who left St James' Park in September, is demanding payment in full of the remaining three years of his contract which was worth around £9million.
He is claiming that he was promised full control of transfers by owner Mike Ashley when he agreed to take the job at Newcastle.
But an acrimonious relationship with Ashley's team who were in charge of the day to day running of the club led to the parting of the ways.
The signing of Spanish striker Xisco on transfer deadline day brought things to a head. It believed that Keegan had no knowledge of the Spaniard’s imminent arrival at Newcastle on deadline day.
Newcastle United have made no comment on whether Keegan has filed legal proceedings against them - or if they will issue a counter-claim.
