MIDDLESBROUGH goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer could return to the side for tomorrow's Wear-Tees derby with Sunderland after recovering from a back problem.

Schwarzer is back in training after missing last weekend's 1-0 home defeat by Bolton, but Ross Turnbull, who deputised against the Trotters, is a fresh doubt with a similar problem.

Gary O'Neil (knee) is out for the rest of the season and Mido (hernia) could join him, while Robert Huth's foot problem remains a concern.

* MIDDLESBROUGH squad to face Sunderland: Schwarzer, Turnbull, Jones, Young, Taylor, Grounds, McMahon, Wheater, Pogatetz, Boateng, Arca, Downing, Shawky, Rochemback, Cattermole, Johnson, Aliadiere, Alves, Tuncay.

Doesn't matter who Boro have between the sticks, with barrel chested schemer Andy Reid pulling the strings in midfield and "Chops" bagging them in that is no way Southgate's hapless boys will get any points this weekend.

Macca your deluded if you think that bunch of donkey's can put 5 goals past us, they couldn't string 5 passes together.

I firmly believe Southgate is getting us moving in the right direct and in Alves we have our best centre forward since the glory days of Uwe Fuchs and Jan Fjortoft. If only we still had Neil Cox holding us steady at the back we would be in for a top 10 finish.

Come on you Boro!

Malcolm Mcdonald, Puffing on an even bigger cigar says...
4:05pm Fri 25 Apr 08

Er er yes, yes! Well having listend to both sides & being in a comfortable posistion I would think, er, er, er yes!! Supa Kevin Phillips, I tell you he was good but if we had have got the best out of Boksic there would be no comparison. That boy was class, injury prone and over 30 but he could still play.

Saw him on the steps on High Row in a big sheepskin coat with his supermodel missues.......one of the proudest days of my life.

Robo Cop, Cleaning the scum off our streets says...

The best I ever saw must have been Maccarone, what a player we paid over £8m for him & he was class. Baird, Wilkinson & of course Slavin are all up there with him just ahead of the fat Eddie Murphy, Jimmy Floyd. 2-1 Boro. Up the Boro!

Don't forgot John Hendrie, without him Wilko wouldn't have been so prolific.
