GATESHEAD have signed Sunderland youngster Luke Molyneux on loan until January 2.
The deal has been made with a view to extending the loan to a full season, and the 20-year-old is available to make his Gateshead debut in today’s National League game at Ebbsfleet United.
Molyneux, who was raised in Bishop Auckland, made his senior Sunderland debut in the 3-0 win over Wolves on the final day of last season.
The winger has made four further first-team appearances this season, with his latest outing coming as a substitute in Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy game with Stoke City Under-21s.
