MIDDLESBROUGH will travel to Accrington Stanley for a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 21.
Stanley, who won the League Two title last season and are preparing for a campaign with Sunderland in League One, have never faced Middlesbrough’s first team at the Wham Stadium.
It is the first friendly game of the summer Middlesbrough have confirmed and arrives two weeks before the new Championship season begins. Around 2,000 tickets have been allocated for Middlesbrough fans for the friendly.
