MARSKE welcome Middlesbrough to Windy Hill Lane, fielding a full-strength side for the first time this season.

Skipper Lee Hodgson said: “We make one change from last weekend, Tom Urwin coming in for his first game of the season for the unavailable Joe Wing.

“I was disappointed to lose against Barney last Saturday, but we recovered well on the Sunday against Bishops, to get some important draw points.

“Middlesbrough have started the season pretty well, so we expect another tough game, but one we are looking forward to at the same time.”

Boro have Sam Harper in for Adil Ditta, while Jake Whittle replaces Joe Gaudie who is only available for the Kerridge Cup quarter final at home to Great Ayton on Bank Holiday Monday.”

Bishop Auckland welcome Stokesley to Kingsway and are without Jacob Dinger who is injured, Gary Burlinson who is on holiday and Callum Oldfield who is playing football, but welcome back Ben Lambert.

Stokesley secretary Mark Smith said: “Despite a good performance against Darlington last weekend, we were very disappointed with defeat against Richmondshire. So, we are looking to bounce back with a better batting performance throughout the team. Richie Chandler returns to give more options to the bowling attack.”

Darlington will be looking for their first win of the season, at home to Marton. They make one change bringing in new signing Peter Greenwell from Philadelphia, an all-rounder at the expense of the injured Callum Lethbridge.

Marton are without Faizan Hussain, as he is with the Durham Academy. Ben Hutchinson returns.

Skipper Alex Wardell said: “After an overdue win at Middlesbrough, albeit a tight one, we are looking to take that momentum into the game this weekend. The win will hopefully get ourselves on a good run of results.”

Great Ayton host Barnard Castle at Leven Park and have several injury worries to consider. Second-placed Barney have one change - Mike Dixon is out and all-rounder Josh Bousfield will play as a batsman only, as his side strain has not fully cleared up to allow him to bowl.

Skipper James Quinn said: “This will be a huge test for us, we are coming off the back of two good performances and it’s important we keep the momentum going this weekend and hopefully come away from Ayton with a positive result.”

Hartlepool are at home to Thornaby and make five changes from the side which lost to Barnard Castle last Sunday.

John Watson, Jack Wilkinson, George Relton, Ben Smith and Dale Metcalfe are back after being unavailable last Sunday.

Club official Michael Gough senior said: “We are pleased in our upturn in form, after taking 54 points from our last three games, but we are expecting a very tough fixture against Thornaby who have had a fine start to the season and will arrive at Park Drive full of confidence.”

Thornaby have a couple of changes with Jonathan Rickard out and replaced by James Roberts, with Steven Purcifer replacing Daniel Wade.”

Thornaby skipper Paul Allen is in buoyant mood: “A fantastic weekend of cricket was watched by many last Saturday, as we beat last year’s champions Great Ayton.

“We carried this confidence into Sunday’s victory over Seaton Carew. This weekend we look forward to a trip to Park Drive, as we play a Hartlepool team who have recently found form, although with the current energy in the team, we are looking for a positive result, which will help us climb into the top three.”

Seaton Carew entertain leaders Richmondshire at Hornby Park and have Neil Whitworth and Jack Turnbull returning from holidays, following a disappointing double loss last weekend against Thornaby and Middlesbrough.

Richmondshire skipper, Gary Pratt said: “Josh Dowson is away and unavailable, so Owen Kelly comes in for him. We are showing a bit of consistency and it’s going well at the moment.”
