DARLINGTON MOWDEN PARK's planned top-of-the-table clash with Coventry tomorrow has been postponed.

The National One game at the Northern Echo Arena has been called off because of a frozen pitch.

Mowden officials had wanted to leave a decision as late as possible, but after consultation with the RFU, they were forced to make a judgement this morning before Coventry's squad left for the North-East.

The Arena pitch has been frozen since the weekend, and with temperatures of minus two expected overnight, the playing surface has been deemed unplayable.

The game between the top two sides in the division has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 24 (2pm).

Darlington Mowden Park Sharks' Tyrrell's Premier 15s game against Richmond FC Ladies will take place tomorrow, however it has been switched to an alternative venue.

The game will now be staged at Maiden Castle, Durham, with a 4pm kick-off.
