NEWCASTLE UNITED boss Rafael Benitez has made ten changes for his side's Carabao Cup second-round game with Nottingham Forest.

Chancel Mbemba is the only member of the side that started Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town that will also kick off tonight's game.

Karl Darlow starts in goal, with Grant Hanley partnering Chancel Mbemba at the heart of defence despite Benitez's desire to sell him before the transfer window closes next Thursday.

Jesus Gamez and Jamie Sterry will fill the full-back berths, with Henri Saivet selected at the base of midfield even though he is another player Benitez would ideally like to move on in the next few days.

Dan Barlaser will play alongside Saivet having been promoted from the academy set-up, with Jacob Murphy, Mo Diame and Rolando Aarons filling the attacking midfield positions.

Aleksandar Mitrovic has been selected as a lone striker as the Magpies look to record their first win of the season.

They will face a much-changed opposition line-up, with Forest boss Mark Warburton having made six alterations of his own from the side that beat Middlesbrough at the weekend.
