VITO MANNONE has completed his departure from Sunderland and signed a three-year contract with Reading.

Mannone, who had entered the final year of his contract at the Stadium of Light, has made a £2m switch to the Madejski Stadium.

The 29-year-old joined Sunderland from Arsenal in the summer of 2013 and spent four seasons on Wearside.

He made 80 senior appearances for the Black Cats, with his greatest moment coming as he helped Sunderland beat Manchester United in a penalty shoot-out to set up the club's appearance in the Capital One Cup final in 2014.
