CHELSEA (3-4-3):

Courtois 6; Azpilicueta 7, Terry 6 (Cahill 26, 6), Luiz 7; Moses 8, Kante 7, Fabregas 8, Alonso 8; Willian 7, Costa 6 (Batshuayi 62, 8), HAZARD 8 (Pedro 70, 7).

Subs (not used): Begovic (gk), Zouma, Chalobah, Matic.

SUNDERLAND (5-4-1):

7 PICKFORD: He might have conceded five, but he was the pick of Sunderland’s players once again – his best save thwarted Moses in the first half

6 Manquillo: Claimed his first goal for Sunderland as he rifled in his early opener, but struggled against Alonso from that point on

5 Jones: Was all at sea for much of the game, with Hazard’s pace and movement pulling him all over the place on occasion

4 O’Shea: His limitations were exposed once again as the pace and fluidity of Chelsea’s attacking created a host of opportunities

4 Lescott: Finally made his first start for the Black Cats, but let himself down badly with a dreadful header for Chelsea’s third goal

4 Oviedo: Found life difficult in the left wing-back slot and struggled to keep tabs on the lively and dangerous Moses

5 Larsson: Kept working away despite Sunderland’s struggles – will he be offered another deal when his current one expires?

5 Cattermole: Never gave up at the heart of midfield, and is likely to be a crucial figure as Sunderland look to rebuild next season

4 Rodwell: Another anonymous display from a player who has failed to make an impression all season – will he be any better in the Championship?

4 Januzaj: Failed to make any kind of an impression in the final third – his loan spell has to go down as a massive failure for all concerned

4 Borini: Started as a lone striker in the absence of the injured Defoe, but never looked like causing Courtois a problem

Subs:

5 Gooch (for Januzaj, 62): Provided some youthful energy when he came onto the field – should he have had more opportunities this season?

Gibson (for Cattermole, 88)

(not used):  Mannone (gk), Love, Embleton, Maja, Osoro.

Man Of The Match: EDEN HAZARD – Chelsea’s play-maker has been one of the key factors behind their title success, and this was another entrancing attacking display.
