DARLINGTON have strengthened their squad by signing David Ferguson from Shildon.
He goes straight into the squad that travels to Stockport County on Saturday.
Ferguson was in Quakers' youth team at The Northern Echo Arena and made several first-team appearances during the crisis-torn 2011-12 season.
He then joined Sunderland before moving to Blackpool, where he was captain last season, and then signed for Shildon last summer.
He has this season played at left-back and in midfield, scoring 13 goals in 36 games.
His arrival could see a member of Quakers' squad leave the club.
