DURHAM will head away from Chester-le-Street to stage July’s Royal London One-Day Cup game with Warwickshire at South Northumberland CC.
The one-day encounter, which is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27 (12 noon start), has been moved to South North after Durham took the rare decision to move a first-team match to an out-ground.
Chief executive David Harker said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with a new audience. I hope that we’ll get a lot of people to the game that ordinarily might not venture into a cricket ground, but would want to come along and join in the festivities at South North.”
It will be the second time that South North have hosted one of Durham’s first-team matches, as the county also visited the venue for a 2014 victory over Warwickshire that helped pave the way for that season’s Royal London One-Day Cup triumph at Lord’s.
