JORDAN RHODES will have to come off the substitutes' bench if he is to make his Middlesbrough debut in this afternoon's game with his former club, Blackburn Rovers.

Rhodes has been named amongst the Boro replacements after completing a £9m move from Ewood Park on Monday.

There are two debutants in Boro's starting line-up, with Ritchie De Laet and Kike Sola both starting after joining in last month's transfer window.

De Laet replaces the injured George Friend at left-back, with Kike Sola playing as one of the three attacking midfielders along with Stewart Downing and Albert Adomah.

Gaston Ramirez is on the substitutes' bench after signing on loan from Southampton, with Cristhian Stuani also named amongst the replacements.

Blackburn will start with former Middlesbrough striker Danny Graham as their main centre-forward.
