THE Sri Lankans will be required to shiver in the North for the first two Tests of next summer, to be held at Headingley and Chester-le-Street in May.

Not that they will mind too much about returning to the Yorkshire headquarters to start the three-match series on May 19 as it was there that they clinched a dramatic victory last year.

England's last man Jimmy Anderson had resisted for 81 minutes when he fell with two balls left, fending off a bouncer to give the joyous Sri Lankans their first series win in England.

The Emirates Durham ICG will stage the second Test next year, starting on May 27, and early bird prices from £30 will be available from September 16 until Christmas.

It will be the first Test held at the ground since England clinched the last home Ashes series there in 2013.

The third Test will be at Lord's prior to a four-match series against Pakistan, with the most notable venue not awarded any of the year's seven Tests being Trent Bridge.

The Nottingham ground will stage two one-day internationals, along with Cardiff and Southampton, which also miss out on the Tests.

Yorkshire will put their Test tickets on sale to members only from September 1-14 before they go on general sale the following day.
