Spennymoor won their second successive game thanks to a hat trick by Nathan Fisher in a 5-1 win at Ossett Town tonight.

Moors took the lead in the second minute, when Anthony Peacock split the Ossett defence for Fisher to fire his first goal of the season.

There was a chance to each side before Fisher, who was making a rare start for Moors, fired the second from the edge of the box.

Moors were well on top at this stage, and Fisher nearly completed his hat trick from a Kallum Griffiths cross, but his effort went just wide of the post.

Fisher had another chance soon after, but his shot was blocked by the keeper, and Glen Taylor missed from the rebound.

Ossett had more pressure in the second half and went close through David Brown, while Shane Henry thought he’d scored at the other end, but his goal was disallowed.

However, there was no doubt about Moors’ third goal when Peacock turned the ball home from a Henry pass.

But the game was by no means safe, as Ossett pulled a goal back with a good shot by Sanchez Payne.

Moors finished the game strongly. Andrew Stephenson chipped the keeper to make it 4-1, then Fisher completed his hat trick when he cut inside and blasted the ball home.
