IRELAND’S Cormac Sharvin shot 67 to come from five back and take a one-stroke lead into Saturday’s final round of the Brabazon Trophy.
He’s five-under par for the championship at Notts Golf Club – with a chasing pack breathing down his neck. Three players are on four-under, including Yorkshire’s Jonathan Thomson, who also made a big move with a score of six-under 66, which included five consecutive birdies.
Just behind, on three-under, are four more players and a further four are grouped on two-under.
Bedale’s Dan Brown is not too far behind in tied 32nd place after carding his third consecutive 73, one over. Darlington’s Aaron McManus missed the cut on Thursday after posting a 17 over two round total.
