NEWCASTLE UNITED have announced their full pre-season schedule, with trips to Gateshead, Sheffield United and York City supplementing the club's three-game tour of the United States.
The Magpies will also host German side Borussia Monchengladbach as part of a pre-season programme that will see them play seven games in total.
If, as expected, Steve McClaren is confirmed as Newcastle's new head coach next week, his first outing in charge will come at Gateshead's International Stadium, with United set to take on their Vanarama Conference neighbours on Friday, July 10 (8pm).
The Magpies will then fly to the United States for a three-game trip that will see them play matches against Club Atlas, Sacramento Republic and a Portland Timbers select XI before returning to England on July 22.
Their next outing on English soil will take them to Bramall Lane for a game against League One side Sheffield United on Sunday, July 26 (1pm).
Their final pre-season away game takes them to York City's Bootham Crescent on Wednesday, July 29 (7.45pm), before they round off their playing schedule with their only outing at St James' Park.
Newcastle will host Borussia Monchengladbach, who qualified for the Champions League by finishing third in last season's Bundesliga, on Saturday, August 1 (3pm), a week before the new Premier League season begins.
