DURHAM’S Sarah Wilson admits her side will be travelling south with revenge on the agenda after a disappointing loss in front of their own fans against Millwall last time out.

The Lionesses ran out 3-2 winners away at Durham earlier this month, and welcome the Wildcats to the Den tomorrow.

Durham returned to form against London Bees however as Beth Hepple grabbed two goals inside 16 minutes, Amelia Pereira added another impressive strike to her tally, and Jess Havelock scored on her first start following her move from Newcastle United.

But defender Wilson knows they will have to improve even further if they are to turn over Millwall on their own soil.

She said: “It was a tough result to take against Millwall last time out and we were very disappointed.

“We took the lead early on but then it was through a couple of defensive errors that we let them back into the game.

“No-one travels that far in this league to come away with nothing so we knew they would come out fighting.

“The defeat will still be fresh in our mind and we’ll know what their threats are and how they will come at us.

“But at the moment you can’t call any game in this league and there have been some shocks already, so we know how difficult this season is going to be.”

Meanwhile, Millwall midfielder Lily Agg insists her side is brimming with confidence after their success in Durham.

A superb second-half fightback gave Millwall the win in one of the most demanding away fixtures in the league, after Pereira had given Durham the advantage.

And Agg, who netted twice to complete the turnaround, believes her side have the momentum to complete a quick-fire double over their WSL 2 rivals.

“Obviously we’ve come off a very good win against them at their place already, but they have got a few good players and like us are much improved this season,” she said.

“It will be a tough game but being at home and having already beaten them we are going into the game very confident.

“We’ll be aiming to get six or nine points minimum from the next three games and build on what has been a good start to the season.

“They’ve got a really fast winger in Amelia Pereira which we recognised early in the first game and tried to keep her quiet.

“Other than her goal, which was our fault, I think we managed that and dominated possession.

“It was a case of then putting the ball in the net in the attacking third which eventually we did, and this time we’ll be adopting a similar strategy – although we will of course have a plan B as well which we’ll prepare for in training.

“So fingers crossed we get the win.”
