GRAEME STORM bowed out of the Volvo China Open despite a spirited second round showing.
Rockliffe Hall’s Tour pro, who posted a three over 75 on Thursday, battled to a steadier level par in Shanghai in his second round but that was not enough for him to make the weekend.
Storm recovered from a bogey at the second by making birdie at the seventh and then the tenth before dropping a further shot at the 15th which proved costly. He ended up missing the cut by a single stroke.
Frenchman Julien Quesne leads the way after two days on eight under and sits a shot ahead of American Peter Uihlein and compatriot Alexander Levy.
